Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton issued a proclamation declaring Sunday, February 22, 2015 as "Paul Erickson Day in Minnesota.”
The proclamation honored Erickson's service as the Executive Director of the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission for 27 years. He retired last December, after serving under five Minnesota governors -- Rudy Perpich, Arne Carlson, Jesse Ventura, Tim Pawlenty and Dayton.
Paul was honored at the Minnesota Wild home game against the Dallas Stars Sunday evening, by leading the crowd of 18,000 in "Let's Play Hockey" prior to the puck drop.
