Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo coming to the NSC, March 20-22

BLAINE, Minn. (March 4, 2015) – The National Sports Center (NSC) in Blaine will host its third and final outdoor show of the winter season by presenting Tom Helgeson’s Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo, March 20-22, 2015. The Expo will be held at the Schwan Center on the NSC campus.  

The annual Minnesota Deer Classic returns to the Schwan Center on campus March 6-8! See big bucks, learn from the pros and shop all the latest in gear.

NSC retired executive director Paul Erickson honored at Minnesota Wild game February 22

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton issued a proclamation declaring Sunday, February 22, 2015 as "Paul Erickson Day in Minnesota.”

The proclamation honored Erickson's service as the Executive Director of the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission for 27 years. He retired last December, after serving under five Minnesota governors -- Rudy Perpich, Arne Carlson, Jesse Ventura, Tim Pawlenty and Dayton.

Paul was honored at the Minnesota Wild home game against the Dallas Stars Sunday evening, by leading the crowd of 18,000 in "Let's Play Hockey" prior to the puck drop.
